Kate Middleton & Issa London

We've all heard the big news and seen these pictures by now....

But, are you familiar with the designer of the dress that Kate chose to wear for the engagement announcement?

The sapphire blue dress  is by label Issa London {apparently a favorite of Kate's}.  I love that she got Diana's engagement ring, and as Diana did almost 30 years ago, chose a blue dress for the engagement announcement as well. She definitely wore it well!

Issa London, is a UK based label by Brazilian born Daniella Issa Helayel. Her dresses are a favorite among  many celebrities, including Madonna and Naomi Campbell, but is still relatively unknown. Well, not anymore! The same dress Kate wore sold out almost immediately and is now sure to be an instant classic and talked about for years. Kate has been a big fan of the label for quite some time. Here she is in some more Issa dresses.

On a side note, when asked the other night at the premiere of Love and Other Drugs,Valentino's advice for the future Queen was this:

“She has to do something with this long hair because that is very important,” the retired designer opined. “To be a future queen, she can’t keep her hair this long.”

I love Kate's long hair and don't agree with this at all. What do you think?

New Find

Ran into Anthropologie last night, and stumbled upon this little cutie...

They now have a mini version of their famous Ikat bowl. And for only $8, of course I had to buy one! My keys now have a new home. They only had the blue and taupe (above) in the store, but online they also have these two cute colors as well... I will definitely be ordering these!
